The purpose of this course is to provide Anger Management Specialists and Providers with: an understanding of the core issues which hinder anger control in teens; assessment tools for assessing teens and knowing when to refer; initial steps in treatment planning for teens with anger control problems.
Examine core issues in the physiology of teen anger control issues.
Identify the unique vulnerabilities that the under developed brain has as it pertains to anger modulating capacities.
Explore core issues of child/adolescent anger control problems.
Clarify developmental and contributing factors involved in anger control problems with adolescents
Focus on problems in incomplete affect regulation, identity confusion, attachment, academic pressures, peer acceptance pressures, and transitional dilemmas.
